"The Threshold" is a video slideshow created by the community and friends of the Orthodox Church of the Holy Cross during the Quarantine Times of the 2020 Lenten and Paschal Seasons. It was completed over the weekend of Pentecost (June 6-7, 2020).

Professor John Burgess is Professor of Systematic Theology at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. He is living in Princeton this year (2014-2015) to write a book about the efforts of the Orthodox Church to bring Christian values into post-communist Russian society.
In this presentation, Professor Burgess examined the rebirth of the Orthodox Church in Russia since the fall of communism, reflecting on God’s promise to transfigure human society, and asking how Christians can point to “the new heaven and earth,” also in our own country.
