The Diocese of New York and New Jersey
His Eminence, Archbishop Michael, presents a series of talks on matters of faith, belief, and the teachings of the Church. These instructional videos are concise and "to the point," offering Orthodox Christians much-needed information, helpful advice for their spiritual journey, and assistance in answering questions that may come from non-Orthodox friends or acquaintances. The goal is that we might better know and better live our faith.
New videos will be added on a regular basis. Each lesson is only 8 to 15 minutes!
The Orthodox Church in America (website)
by Fr. Leonid Kishkovsky and Mark Stokoe
From its humble beginnings in 1794, when a small group of missionaries landed on Kodiak Island, Alaska, Orthodoxy in America has expanded to comprise a church of over two million faithful. Yet numerous Americans from all cultural and religious backgrounds have, particularly in recent decades, joined Orthodoxy as well. Orthodoxy does have something to say to American society. Thus, the story is told on these webpages.
The series, The Orthodox Faith, is intended to provide basic, comprehensive information on the faith and the life of the Orthodox Church for the average reader. It presents the areas of Doctrine, Worship, Bible and Church History, and Spirituality.
It was written by Fr. Thomas Hopko.
Fr. John Matusiak answered questions about Orthodox Christianity and the Orthodox Church in America.
The podcasts of Fr. Thomas Hopko -"Worship in Spirit and Truth," "The Names ofJesus," and "Speaking the Truth in Love" are particularly recommended.
